Job description

Please note: This role is based in Bell Gardens, CA.

Position Summary:

We are looking for skilled machinists with extensive experience in CNC and/or conventional machining. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of machine setups, fixturing, and "hands-on" programming or editing for CNC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate large CNC and conventional horizontal boring mills, machining centers, lathes, and VTLs.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Perform "hands-on" programming and editing of CNC machines (for CNC applicants).
  • Utilize shop math to calculate machining speeds, feeds, and dimensions.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of machining experience.
  • Proficiency in setup and fixturing of large parts.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, shop math, and speeds/feeds.
  • Experience with CNC programming and editing (for CNC machinists).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
