Job description

EARN UP TO AN ADDITIONAL $6,500 IN YOUR FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT THROUGH ATTENDANCE AND RETENTION BONUS PROGRAMS


SUMMARY:

This position consists of performing all duties associated with assisting the Press Operator in the operation of the printing/laminating press, to include set-up, clean down, roll changing and quality production of wallcovering. This position also includes maintaining accurate production records and assisting the inspector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports directly to the Manager. Takes limited direction from the Print Operator.

• Adhere to all safety policies, including compliance with PPE.

• Insure safe handling and storage of cylinders.

• Maintain safety in the work area and in all physical practices.

• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.

• Adhere to all quality procedures and requirements directed by the quality department.

• Be purposeful and diligent in the minimization of production waste.

• Eliminate (not produce) non-conforming product aka defects.

• Ensure accurate completion of all quality documents and records.

• Report any non-conformance to operator, quality lead, production lead, or supervisor.

• Perform an operation check on equipment and report any deficiencies to supervisor.

• Operate all equipment associated with printing, laminating, and ink mixing operations.

• Operate all material handling equipment associated with the operation of the printer.

• Perform preventative maintenance, including routine scheduled and non-scheduled press cleaning, to ensure proper operation.

• Change cylinders as necessary to support the quality production needs for the press.

• Accurately interpret production and quality documents, including SOP’s, production requirements, schedules, job folders, etc.

• Assist in verifying all materials for the upcoming job(s) are properly staged prior to end of current job.

• Accurately complete production reports, logs, and material tags

• Using the VORNE system, accurately track production state and scan accurately in a timely manner.

• Using INFOR, accurately record time, material receipt and usage as well as production quantity.

• Participate in the machine Gemba as needed. Discuss prior days or weeks production data.

• Successfully trained and able to perform all duties associated with Inspector Position

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Educational equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year high school preferred.

• Must be capable of performing simple mathematical calculations.

• Must be able to understand and implement oral and written instructions.

• Must be capable of maintaining accurate written records.

• Must have basic computer/ERP skills.

• Must possess the physical means to perform all duties assigned in a safe and efficient manner.

• Must have good eyesight and be capable of detecting differences in textures and colors.
