Job description

A successful Machine Operator is a trustworthy individual with outstanding attention to detail, and mechanical abilities. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining all line equipment as assigned/trained. The Operator works to safely attain high quality and efficiency goals, with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety, GMP, and company policies while operating equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocols and SOPs.
  • Support startup and shutdown activities for assigned equipment. Ensure assigned production line equipment is set up accurately each day.
  • Maintain proper material supply to the line and verify components are available before production runs.
  • Assist with line clearance and verification during product changeovers and perform changeovers on assigned equipment.
  • Assist with periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Perform routine quality checks and verify finished product meets specifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Assist in troubleshooting any operational inefficiencies or downtime.
  • Maintain all documentation as required to communicate with team and management.
  • Train or assist new team members on standard operating procedures when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
