Job description

Not every plumber enjoys working directly with homeowners. We're looking for the ones who do.
We're a fast-growing company looking for a plumber who enjoys solving problems, building relationships with customers, and seeing projects through from start to finish. Much of your work will involve larger residential projects such as sewer line replacements, water service replacements, whole-home repipes, water heater installations, and underground plumbing repairs.
The right person for this role takes pride in quality workmanship but understands that a great customer experience matters just as much as the plumbing itself. You'll be trusted to represent Action in customers' homes, communicate professionally, answer questions, set expectations, and help homeowners feel confident throughout the project.
If you enjoy combining technical skill with great customer service and want to deliver a five-star experience on every job, we'd love to meet you.
Why Plumbers Choose Action Air, Plumbing, & Septic:
Perks to Make Your Worklife Easier:
  • Full Stocked Take-Home Vehicle: Drive your work vehicle home, fully stocked with the tools and equipment you need to succeed.
  • Company-Provided Uniforms: No need to worry about buying work clothes-your uniform is on us.
  • No Emergency/Holiday Hours: We're a family-first company. Enjoy your nights and weekends off with no emergency or holiday shifts required. A light on-call schedule reserved only for membership customers or recalls ensures you can prioritize your time outside of work.
Health and Time-Off Benefits:
  • Health Insurance Stipend: We provide a stipend to help you with medical expenses and connect you with a representative to help you choose the best plan for you and your family.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Four (4) weeks of PTO and holiday pay each year so you can rest and recharge.
Career Growth & Financial Rewards:
  • Competitive Pay + Performance Bonuses: Earn $25-32 per hour with ongoing opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
  • Ongoing Training & Professional Development: We invest in your professional growth with paid training, cross-training opportunities, daily team huddles, and support for gaining new certifications or licenses.
  • Ongoing, Steady Employment: Never worry about your hours being cut - you'll get at least 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year.
A Positive, Family-Friendly Work Environment:
We value our people-both customers and employees. Join a team that prioritizes kindness, empathy, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Action Air, Plumbing, & Septic with professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  • Provide top-quality plumbing services and installations to residential and occasional small commercial customers.
  • Actively participate in training programs to continually expand your skill set.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both customers and your team.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed to protect yourself, your team, and the customer's home
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and take extra care with the customer's indoor and outdoor property.

Qualifications:
  • Must have: A valid Texas Tradesman Plumber's License and at least 2 years of experience in residential plumbing service.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and work in small spaces or fluctuating temperatures.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on continual improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with excavation and heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Experience leading large plumbing projects and overseeing apprentices.

Offer of employment is contingent on a criminal background check and drug screen.
