North Central Utility (NCU) is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Front Counter Sales Representative to represent NCU in the heavy-duty truck & trailer parts industry. 

North Central Utility is one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the nation and the largest in the North Central region with 10 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota. We offer reefer, dry van and flatbed trailers from Utility Trailer Manufacturing at all locations and vocational trailers from MAC Trailers in Wisconsin - we sell new and used semi-trailers. With Moore Space, we offer temporary storage container solutions as well. Our parts department has an extensive inventory in Heavy-Duty Truck/Tractor and Trailer parts. Our broad product line and geographic coverage ensures we are a “One Stop Shop” for truck and semi-trailer parts. Our service department offers everything from routine maintenance, certified DOT inspections to precision laser alignment, as well as complete wreck repair for trailers of all makes and models. No job is too big or too small for our skilled service technicians.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Represent NCU to all walk-in store customers 

• Educate the retail customer on NCU parts and services 

• Assist with delivery and route operation 

• Answer phone 

• Order processing 

• Assist with parts stocking and store organization 

• Load & unload vehicles as needed 

• Increase sales volume through promotional sales & activity 

• Suggest items of value to build customer loyalty and identify opportunities for incremental sales volume as needed 

• Order parts and fill back orders 

• Work with management to eliminate excess inventory and increase turns 

• Assist ensuring that parts are pulled and ready for daily deliveries 

• Accurate and timely processing and completion of paperwork

• Build relationships with customers 

• Assist in flyer creation 

• Assist back counter parts sales reps 

• Assist in warehouse 

• Sell product features 

• Assist with EOY Inventory 

• Assist Manager as needed

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 

• Driver’s License in good standing 

• Previous experience preferred 

• Strong computer skills 

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency 

• Proficient with technology 

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, and squat repetitively for long periods of time 

• Ability to repetitively push/pull and/or lift/carry at least 50 pounds
