Job description

The Auto Body Prep and Sander plays a critical role in the vehicle repair process by preparing and finishing surfaces to ensure a flawless paint application. Working within a small team and reporting to the Shop Manager, this position requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and physical stamina to efficiently handle sanding, masking, and polishing tasks without the need for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting through sanding and masking
  • Perform detailed inspection of surfaces to identify imperfections
  • Ensure proper masking to protect areas from over-spray
  • Clean up work areas and maintain tools and equipment
  • Polish and buff surfaces to achieve a smooth, finished appearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in auto body repair
  • Proficient in surface preparation and sanding techniques
  • Experienced in paint masking processes
