About the Role:

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring the smooth operation of clinical and administrative tasks within a healthcare setting. This position involves direct patient interaction, assisting with examinations, and performing routine clinical procedures to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment. The MA is responsible for maintaining patient records, managing appointment schedules, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. By acting as a liaison between patients and medical staff, the MA helps to create a welcoming and efficient environment that promotes patient well-being and satisfaction. Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and the overall success of the medical practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required or in progress.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting.
