Job description

Our Collaboration Technologies team provides support and maintenance of our Microsoft products (i.e. Exchange, OneNote) widely used across the UMB enterprise. They ensure these applications and services are performing at peak capacity to avoid any business disruption.

As an M365 Administrator, you will provide technical support for UMB's M365 Office Online applications. This will include working firsthand with our user community on the intricacies of M365 suite of applications and working with M365 Engineers to solve any potential issues within the M365 environment. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership.

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at our downtown Kansas City, MO or Dubuque, IA locations.

How you will spend your time:

  • Provide Tier 2 ticket support for our user community on M365 suite of applications.
  • Integrating applications and creating user articles for best practice use of applications.
  • Gather user requirements to ensure associates are leveraging the appropriate M365 tools to support their requirements.
  • Manage and administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, OneNote, EntraID, Microsoft Co-Pilot
  • Assist engineering team with project implementations concerning the M365 environment.
  • Responsible for change controls / validation task completions.
  • Develop and manage user accounts, groups, and licenses.
  • Provide M365 application expertise with UMB end users including formal training if needed.

We are excited to talk if you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT with a basic foundational knowledge of cloud services, user account lifecycles, and basic security concepts.
  • Previous experience supporting users via ticket management systems.
  • Working base knowledge of MS applications.
  • Knowledge of basic security concepts.
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with collaboration apps and a passion for enhancing the user experience.
  • Experience handling ticket requests in a timely manner.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • 1-2 years of general IT support or helpdesk experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or Equivalent Technical certifications.
