Pharmacist Job

Job Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Review medication orders and ensure appropriate dosing and therapeutic use.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
  • Support pharmacy operations in both inpatient and sterile environments.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and federal regulations.
  • Utilize pharmacy dispensing systems and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Participate in IV room and sterile compounding activities, when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
  • Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacist experience.
  • Active New York State Pharmacist License (NYSED).
  • Primary Source Verification of the NY Pharmacist License is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Pharmacy Dispensing Systems.
  • Sterile Processing experience.
  • IV Room experience.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Previous hospital or acute care experience preferred.
