Although you will primarily work remotely, our outpatient office in Pomona, California, plays host to a supportive team that values each individual’s contributions, facilitating seamless communication across various platforms.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks while engaging with our diverse clientele. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs effectively.
• Coordinating care among multidisciplinary team members to create a cohesive treatment plan.
• Providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy and ensuring that each treatment approach is tailored to client's unique situations.
• Documenting treatment plans succinctly and ensuring meticulous documentation of court-ordered evaluations.
• Acting as a liaison with community agencies to broaden support networks for clients.
• Engaging in disposition planning and advocacy to ensure clients access the services they need.

Your primary focus will be on adult and geriatric populations facing varying mental health challenges. As our services expand, you may also provide support to children and adolescents, implementing evidence-based practices that resonate with their developmental needs. Your role is vital in advocating for clients and empowering them to take control of their mental health journeys.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California, demonstrating your commitment to professional standards.
• Proven ability to establish a rapport with clients, fostering trust and encouraging therapeutic progress.
• Strong skills in writing precise clinical notes and evaluations to maintain up-to-date records.
• Adept in employing various clinical models and theories to effectively address client concerns.
• Comprehensive understanding of social work ethics and practice scopes.
• The capability to conduct thorough mental status examinations and identify changes in client conditions.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in community mental health settings.
• Knowledge of current community resources related to mental health treatment, income support, and vocational rehabilitation.
• A history of collaborating with support staff and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
• Prior experience in outpatient settings, familiarizing you with treatment modalities and administrative protocols.
