What is an LVN care professional?

LVN Care professionals are Licensed Vocational Nurses who provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. They assist with tasks such as monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and helping patients with daily activities. LVNs often work in hospitals, nursing homes, and private residences, ensuring patient comfort and supporting their healthcare needs. Their role is essential in delivering hands-on care and acting as a liaison between patients and other healthcare providers.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as an LVN care professional?

To thrive as an LVN in care settings, you need a practical nursing diploma, current LVN licensure, and strong foundational knowledge in patient care and medical procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), vital signs monitoring equipment, and basic medical software is typically required. These skills ensure safe, high-quality care and help foster positive patient outcomes in diverse and dynamic environments.
