Job description

Summary

The Managing Director will lead the new boutique opening in October 2026, driving sales, client development and operational excellence. This role has full P&L and budget responsibility and oversees store leadership, buying and merchandising strategy. The position requires strong people management, coaching and collaboration with corporate teams to deliver an exceptional luxury client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the management team and sales staff to achieve sales and service objectives
  • Own P&L, sales goals, inventory results, payroll adherence and loss prevention
  • Plan and execute buying strategy and manage stock qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Recruit, interview and select staff; conduct performance reviews and maintain HR documentation
  • Coordinate events and work with communications and visual merchandising to highlight product stories
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity and implement strategies to drive results
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years store management or flagship assistant store manager experience
  • Previous buying experience relevant to managing director responsibilities
  • Proven experience managing multi-person teams and reporting to executive/merchant levels
  • Demonstrated success running a high-volume luxury store and driving sales
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; knowledge of French and willingness to travel 4-5 weeks annually to Paris
  • Ability to lift 0-25 lbs and perform operational duties as required
