Job description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of Prevost buses or any bus manufacturers. This role requires effective communication with team members, management and drivers while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Dedication to providing the safest and most efficient coaches/trucksto our drivers and customers.
- Perform DOT-compliant maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on all vehicles/equipment within our fleet.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all major systems such as engines, transmissions, DEF systems, AC systems, and driver safety mitigation devices/systems.
- Utilize OEM Diagnostic platforms for troubleshooting/repair and participate in training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed on all vehicles
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 4+ years of diesel engine and/or trailer repair experienceminimum
- Ability to work on a variety of heavy/medium duty diesel vehicles & equipment
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems such as hydraulics, air brakes, electrical, etc.
- Strong knowledge of basic mechanical tools.
- Familiar with Detroit 60 series, Volvo Engines, and Allison Transmissions.
- Familiar with Prevost buses or any bus manufacturers
- Good skills with Aftertreatment Diagnostics.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with drivers, team members, and management.
