Lunchroom Assistant
Part-time position: Monday-Friday (11:00 AM-1:00 PM)
ROLE SUMMARY
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish School (OLGC) in Plymouth, MI is blessed with a mission to offer life-changing encounters with Jesus and equip leaders to transform the culture. We are seeking a Lunchroom Assistant to join our OLGC Parish School family. This is a part-time, hourly position supporting the Lunchroom Supervisor in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and well-organized environment for our students during lunch.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Lunchroom Supervisor in managing the lunchroom for students in grades Young 5 - 5th grade.
  • Help distribute hot lunches to students who have purchased one.
  • Support the creation of a loving, respectful, orderly, and safe environment for students to enjoy their lunch.
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfecting tables, counters, and food service areas following established protocols.
  • Prepare and distribute food while maintaining sanitary conditions.
  • Be attentive to student health concerns, including food allergies.
  • Help implement health and safety procedures as directed by the Lunchroom Supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Enjoy working with children in a school setting.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with the Lunchroom Supervisor.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependability and commitment to maintaining a safe and caring environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Completion of Protecting God's Children training.
