Material Handler / Order Fulfillment Associate

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time


Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Order Fulfillment Associate for a full-time, day-shift position. This is a hands-on role responsible for measuring and cutting material to customer specifications, pulling orders, stocking inventory, and loading/unloading trucks. You will also interact with customers when assisting with orders and pickups, so professional communication is important.


The #1 requirement for this position is the ability to accurately read a tape measure. Candidates must be comfortable measuring material using common fractions of an inch. A tape measure test will be administered during the interview process.


Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut material according to customer orders and specifications
  • Accurately read a tape measure, including fractional measurements
  • Pull, prepare, and verify customer orders
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Assist customers with order pickups and material
  • Receive, stock, and organize incoming material
  • Verify measurements, quantities, and materials before completing orders
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory
  • Keep warehouse and work areas clean and safe
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Assist with general warehouse and material-handling duties as needed


Qualifications

  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
  • Comfortable working with measurements and fractions of an inch
  • Previous warehouse, material handling, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, building materials, or similar experience preferred
  • Comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the shift
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
