Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of various equipment operations, including but not limited to bulldozers, Excavators, Mini Excavators, Telehandler forklift, Front End loader. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in the construction process, contributing to the building of infrastructure and other projects.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as Excavators, mini ex, lull, forklifts and drill rigs
• Perform tasks related to grading to prepare surfaces, backfilling, drilling and excavation for further construction work.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assist in the movement of materials and equipment around the job site as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting minor issues with equipment as they arise.
• Reliable transportation is required. Travel to jobsites is required and per diem is paid while working out of town.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators with attatchments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
• Ability to work effectively on a construction site while adhering to safety regulations.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
• A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
