Courtesy Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and are responsible for timely and accurate service to ensure our guests' of quality workmanship. They are the face of Jiffy Lube, greeting guests on arrival and assisting the J-Team clean exterior windows, vacuum interior floors, and check and adjust vehicle tire pressure. This is an important role in our Jiffy Lube operation and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program, for certification.

Qualifications

This is an entry level position and previous experience is preferred but will consider a strong candidate with some automotive background, customer service skills, or Vo-Tech training.


Job Duties Include, but are not limited to...

  • Greeting guests on arrival with a friendly smile and escorted to the lounge
  • Driving the vehicle into the bay and checking dashboard and exterior lights
  • Performing courtesies' vacuuming interior and cleaning exterior windows
  • Checking and adjusting tire pressure to manufacturers recommendations
  • Performing tire rotations and visually inspecting brake pads and rotors
  • Perform clean up duties and ensure the service center is orderly and presentable

Once you've become certified, you will be eligible for advancement opportunities to become a Lube Tech, Plus Tech/Mechanic, or Service Advisor.

Physical Qualifications

Courtesy Technicians must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

  • Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed
