Lube Tech

Ecowaste Solutions is one of the fastest-growing companies in the waste management industry, delivering essential services that keep communities and businesses running. Our Lube Tech works under direct supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks, performing minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and build a valuable skill set within the company. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and eager to grow their mechanical skills in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oil, lube, and tire changes, 13-point inspections, brake inspections, tire repair and replacement, and miscellaneous vehicle repairs.
  • Takes ownership of the sale, removal, and replacement of tires, including on commercial vehicles.
  • Performs routine oil and lube services on commercial vehicles.
  • Responsible for equipment repair and maintenance of the store facility, including general housekeeping duties.
  • Performs oil change services, checks and tops off all fluids, and checks tire pressures and air and cabin filters in a timely manner.
  • Performs tire rotations, mounting, and balancing.
  • Assists senior mechanics with needed tasks.
  • Power washes the exterior body of trucks, under the hood, framework, and rear working section.
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
  • Assists with service calls for breakdowns.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Maintains upkeep of the shop and tools, ensuring tools are clean and properly stored, trash is removed regularly, and floors are swept and free of slip and trip hazards.
  • Learns from senior technicians to build skills and increase value within the company.
  • Performs other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the shop lead or higher supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Shop experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings required.
  • Clean driver's license and driving record required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and working in confined spaces around vehicles and equipment.
  • Regular exposure to shop conditions, including noise, dust, grease, and automotive fluids.
  • Work is performed primarily in a shop environment, with occasional outdoor exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Use of hand and power tools and shop equipment required throughout the shift.
