Anderson Auto is looking for a lube technician to join our team. The lube tech is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles brought to the dealership. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.

Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • Automotive experience helpful, but not required. Paid training will be provided.
  • Prior experience with oil changes and tire rotations preferred.
  • Three years licensed driving experience and good driving record preferred.
  • High School or GED preferred

Summary/Objective

Lube Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards, contributing to the safety and comfort of our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provides excellent customer service for all customers whether external or internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.
  • Performs lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, etc. in a professional manner.
  • Performs vehicle inspections as required.
  • Determines management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
  • Maintains equipment in good working condition and maintains the work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.
  • Receives service assignments from the service writer or service manager.
  • Has the ‘lube’ work finished within the allotted time. Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level.
  • Maintains a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.
  • Makes sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.
  • Keep technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.
  • Takes care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Shows up when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Performs other tasks as directed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department working hours. This position regularly requires working evenings, weekends.
