SUMMARY
ANSYS, Inc. seeks R&D Engineer II to work in Waltham, MA
RESPONSIBILITIES
The R&D Engineer II will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems. Collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives. Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems. Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions. Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. Works under the general supervision of a development manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study.
• Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in a related position
• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs;
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases for storing and querying application data;
• Experience working with AWS, particularly with serverless functions, S3, SQS, and CloudWatch;
• Experience working with Docker to build and containerize cloud-native applications large-scale software development environment
• Additional work location information: May permit telecommuting from home office within commuting distance to Waltham, MA office.
RATE OF PAY: $131,082.00 per year
