The Coordinator of Workforce Operations & Lifelong Leaning supports LSUA Continuing Education by coordinating the university's One-Stop Operator (OSO) responsibilities and managing Lifelong Learning programs for the community. The position is responsible for program scheduling, participant and instructor communication, required OSO documentation, registration support, and day-to-day coordination of assigned programs.
Primary Responsibilities One-Stop Operator
  • Coordinate day-to-day One-Stop Operator activities and requirements.
  • Maintain required OSO documentation, meeting records, and reports.
  • Communicate with workforce partners and assist with coordinating partner meetings.
  • Track deadlines and required deliverables.
  • Assist the Workforce Development Manager with workforce system activities and events.

Lifelong Learning
  • Coordinate fall, spring, and summer Lifelong Learning schedules.
  • Recruit and communicate with instructors.
  • Coordinate course dates, locations, supplies, and other program needs.
  • Manage participant communication and registration support.
  • Identify new community enrichment course ideas.
  • Assist with promoting Lifelong Learning programs.
  • Track enrollment and participant feedback.
  • Support community-based and on-campus Lifelong Learning activities.

General Program Support
  • Provide excellent customer service to participants, instructors, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate program records.
  • Assist with Continuing Education events and special projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn university systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education, workforce development, continuing education, community programming, or program coordination.
  • Experience working with community partners or grant-funded programs.
  • Experience coordinating events, courses, or adult education programs.
