Job description

LRK is a nationally recognized design firm built around a team of architects, urban designers, planners, and interior designers. We believe that great places are created through successful collaboration and careful consideration of how these disciplines impact and respect the surrounding community.

LRK is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Baton Rouge, LA studio, working alongside a Principal on the front-end design of large mixed-use and multifamily projects. This position is ideal for a designer who is energized by the earliest stages of the design process-exploring ideas, developing concepts, and creating compelling visual narratives that shape transformative mixed-use and multifamily communities.

This role focuses on the conceptual and schematic phases of design, helping transform ideas into compelling design solutions through site planning, building design, massing studies, graphic presentations, and presentation-quality packages.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and a passion for thoughtful, design-driven architecture. Candidates should demonstrate strong design and problem-solving skills, excellent graphic and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, iterative design environment. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office is preferred. Experience creating presentation graphics, renderings, and client presentation materials is highly desirable. A professional degree in Architecture is required.
