Job description

Seasonal Loss Prevention Specialist

ROLE OVERVIEW 

The Seasonal Loss Prevention Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing physical security and shrink reduction programs within their location. The LPS collaborates with operations and support teams to mitigate inventory shrinkage and protect bottom-line profits. The Seasonal LPS must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments and shrink data analysis.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Foster a loss prevention-rich environment that inspires a culture of commitment to shrink reduction 
  • Influence, guide and make recommendations on loss prevention programs that do not hinder operations
    Assist Loss Prevention Supervisor on daily, weekly and monthly LP metrics and reports
  • Serve as primary contact to any Law Enforcement agencies
  • Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink Assist Loss Prevention Supervisor on investigations
  • Conduct investigations within the facility to include, but not limited to internal/external losses 
  • Manage security staff and assist in the maintenance and coordination of physical security programs
  • Identify, promote and implement physical security best practices
  • Verify inventory integrity within the location 
  • Keep Safety a Top Priority and Report Any Potential Safety Concerns or Threats Monitor Behavior and Report Unusual Activity 
  • Recommend and Implement Loss Prevention Programs and Processes as Needed Ability to Handle Confidential Information 
  • Utilize CCTV and exception reports to mitigate shrink Collaborate with operations, human resources and other support teams Assist with departmental projects across the network

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • High school diploma 
  • 2 years applicable experience in a Loss Prevention preferred
  • Wicklander-Zulwaski certification preferred 
  • LPQ/LPC preferred
  • Possess a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focuses when needed 
  • Ability to Handle Crisis Situations Excellent Written and Verbal Communication 
  • Skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders
  • Ability to Work Flexible Hours (Including Weekends and Holidays) 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Products 
  • Strong ability to multitask Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with off-site supervision
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
