Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time Opportunities

About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, you will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN to our residents, while also supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant. With a competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $42, depending on the shift and weekly pay, this full-time opportunity with second and third shifts available, including every other weekend.

Requirements:

Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program
CPR certification
Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state, or in the process of obtaining one
New graduates welcome!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care
Follow physician's orders, render, and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness
Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs
Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list
Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary

Additional Requirements:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
Leadership and supervisory ability, with the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
