LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – GERIATRIC
VA Palo Alto Health Care System
Menlo Park, CA and Palo Alto, CA
Contract Position
Pay: $38 to $50 per hour
Full Time. 40 hours per week
1.0 FTE. Long term federal contract

Position Overview
Provide practical nursing care to geriatric veterans under RN and physician supervision across the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Initial assignment at Menlo Park with possible rotation to Palo Alto main campus and other VAPAHCS locations.

Duties
• Perform basic patient assessments and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Perform wound care and specimen collection
• Document in VA electronic medical record
• Support infection control and safety standards

Schedule
• Day, evening, or rotating shifts
• Monday through Friday with possible weekends
• Federal holidays observed

Requirements
• Active LPN or LVN license in any US state
• BLS required
• Minimum 1 year recent long-term care, rehab, or acute care experience
• Ability to pass VA background and credentialing

Contract Details

• Multi-year potential with extensions
