Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide personal care services, assistance, support, and supervision to residents. The nurse will administer routine medications to residents in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and service agreements with Registered Nurse supervision. Use superior assessment and communication skills. Candidates will have the ability to enrich residents' lives by addressing their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with resident laundry and daily bed-making as needed.
  • Assist in serving meals and bussing tables during meal times.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene and mobility.
  • Assist residents with oxygen and other medical problems as outlined in the assistance plan.
  • Work with team to update service plans for residents.
  • Administer medications as directed in the resident service plan and MAR.
  • Administer medications accurately and at appropriate times according to physician orders.
  • Document medications administered and those not given according to regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Administer treatments as directed on treatment sheets.
  • Document information pertaining to changes in residents' functional statuses, personal needs, appointments, etc.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements

  • LPN nursing license in the state
  • CPR certification required
