Job description

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) – Outpatient Clinic. This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Location:

Austin TX 78717 – 100% on-site Payrate: $37.17/hr Required Availability: Part-time| approximately 32–40 hours/week Schedule & Training Work schedules are created in 6-week blocks following an initial 3-week training/orientation period Typical shifts are 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours Schedule generally includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend Some major holiday coverage is required Must be available to complete the initial 3 weeks of training without planned time off May require floating to other nearby clinic locations SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) – Outpatient Clinic will provide high-quality, patient-facing clinical care in an outpatient clinic setting.

This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, clinical testing, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates RESPONSIBILITIES Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications Perform routine patient assessments and monitor vital signs Identify and document abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature Monitor patient responses to treatment and document clinical findings Perform or assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other relevant information in the EMR Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions Perform mental health screenings, including assessments for depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function Provide patient education related to self-care and disease management Help connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in good standing Current BLS certification 1+ year of related healthcare experience required Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR Strong comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing outpatient clinic Experience with clinical care in an ambulatory setting Brittney Blackman | bblackman@alinestaffing.com | text 5867107970
