Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) โ€“ Corrections

Location: Spokane WA
Start Date: 2/16/2026
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Weekly Pay: $1980/week

Schedule:

  • Shift: Day Shift

  • Shifts per Week: 3ย 

  • Hours per Shift: 12 hours

  • Total Weekly Hours: 36

Position Overview:

ATC Northwest is seeking experiencedย Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a secure and highly regulated environment. The LPN will support medical operations, ensure compliance with correctional healthcare standards, and assist in managing staff and patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to an incarcerated population in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards

  • Administer medications, treatments, and perform clinical assessments as ordered

  • Support nursing leadership in overseeing daily clinical operations

  • Assist with staff coordination, delegation, and compliance monitoring

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and correctional security protocols

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, RNs, mental health, and custody staff

  • Uphold patient care standards while maintaining professional boundaries in a correctional environment

Requirements:

  • Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state of practice

  • Minimum 1 year of corrections experience)

  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage staff, compliance requirements, and patient care standards

  • Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional environment

  • Must meet all correctional facility compliance requirements, which may include:

    • Criminal background check

    • Drug screening

    • TB testing and immunization verification

    • Facility-specific orientation and security training
