Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), basic diagnostic equipment, and standard clinical procedures is important. What are the main challenges LPNs face when working day shifts in healthcare settings?

LPNs working day shifts often manage a high volume of patient care activities, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating with doctors and RNs. Day shifts can be especially fast-paced due to scheduled procedures, physician rounds, and frequent patient admissions and discharges. Maintaining clear communication and staying organized are essential to handle these responsibilities efficiently while ensuring patient safety. Team collaboration is also key, as LPNs regularly work alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

What are LPN Days?

LPN Days refers to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who work daytime shifts, typically during regular business hours such as 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. LPNs provide basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses or doctors, including tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and assisting patients with daily activities. Day shift LPNs often work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or home care settings, and they play a crucial role in patient care during the busiest hours of the day.
