This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule. You will primarily conduct sessions through our telehealth platform, which is equipped with user-friendly technology to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for both clients and counselors. • Conduct initial assessments and in-depth evaluations to determine clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions suited for individual, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each session aligns with clients' therapeutic goals.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to address diverse mental health challenges.
  • For example, a couple seeking counseling may benefit from both CBT for communication issues and DBT to address emotional dysregulation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring holistic care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.
• Maintain meticulously accurate and up-to-date clinical records, complying with ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Stay abreast of current research developments and advancements in the mental health field, attending workshops and seminars to enhance your skills.

As an LPC with Star Mental Health Services, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and other mental health concerns. Our focus is on creating an inclusive environment where clients from various backgrounds feel safe and supported as they navigate their unique challenges.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience delivering counseling services, preferably in a clinical setting.
• In-depth knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting and engage with other healthcare professionals effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and reporting.

• Specialization in trauma, substance abuse, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly regarded.
• Experience with telehealth services and the use of digital communication tools for therapy sessions.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development through workshops or advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, determined by your caseload and experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance to support your overall well-being.
