Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status and needs, utilizing standardized tools to make informative clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adapting approaches to meet the specific goals and experiences of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, employing strategies that ensure client safety and stability during acute mental health crises.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to create a seamless continuum of care for clients, sharing insights and updates on treatment progress.
  • Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities, attending workshops and training to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele that may include individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, including underserved populations, requiring sensitivity and an approach that is culturally competent and inclusive.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Connecticut.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to effectively formulate treatment plans.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while actively collaborating within a team environment.
  • A commitment to ethical practices and a high level of professionalism in all aspects of work.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work in a clinical setting is preferred, although we also welcome applications from entry-level professionals with a strong theoretical foundation.
  • Experience with teletherapy and knowledge of virtual therapeutic tools and platforms is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits
