The responsibilities of the LPC encompass a wide range of therapeutic tasks:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to understand their biopsychosocial needs, ensuring that treatment plans reflect these findings.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including individual, family, couple, and group psychotherapy sessions, tailored to clinical appropriateness and patient goals.
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary program planning, collaborating with psychiatry and other team members to create coordinated efforts in patient care.
• Provide comprehensive case management services, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with organizational policies and ethical standards.
• Participate in crisis intervention and triage evaluations in collaboration with both outpatient and inpatient teams, responding effectively to urgent patient needs.

The LPC will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. This role requires a sensitivity to the multifaceted needs of patients, ensuring that each individual receives treatment that honors their unique circumstances and promotes recovery.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
• At least two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
• Proven ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and a capacity for utilizing technology efficiently in patient care.

The compensation for this position ranges between $70,000 and $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and inclusive of a signing bonus.
