Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor - Durango Integrated Healthcare - Durango, CO

Position Summary: The role of the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical supervision to all assigned clinical staff. This position is also responsible for providing direct clinical care and participating as a member of the program team to design and implement the individual care plans for program clients in accordance with policies, rules, regulations, and directives which apply.  This position utilizes a variety of treatment approaches and case coordination to work with a diverse client population. This position will also be called upon to provide expertise for center policy and programming and must be capable of independent action while ensuring their actions represent the policies, priorities, and values of Axis Health System.

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate for our Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor position will have master’s degree in one of the recognized mental health professions and be Licensed or license eligible in the State of Colorado as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LAC, CAC III or PhD.  They will also have a minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate clinical experience in a healthcare setting.  The experience must include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.  Lastly, LAC certification is preferred.

Salary:  Starting pay is $72,675.20 and ranges up to $78,811.20 per year which includes a $5,200.00 local differential for our Durango worksite, and considers preferred experience and certification as described above.

Physical demands: Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees are frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have the ability to sit for longer periods at a computer. Employees must be able to travel between AHS locations. Possible potential exposure to communicable diseases. Vision sufficient to read medical records, instruments, documentation, and visual changes in patient condition. Hearing must be sufficient to interact with a patient who may be unable to speak at a normal voice level. Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet.
  • Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures and priorities.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate job-related information to individuals and small groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; plan own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes-hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to concentrate in sometimes hectic and stressful settings.
  • Ability to read and understand written materials.
  • Must regard work as confidential.
  • Must have current driver’s license, qualify for commercial vehicle insurance and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AXIS HEALTH SYSTEM’ insurance agency.

Additional eligibility requirements:  Annual Flu immunization, Annual TB screening, de-escalation training within 90 days, BLS certification required.
