Job description

About the Role

Join a well-established community behavioral health organization providing compassionate mental health services to adults with severe mental illness. As an Adult Behavioral Health Intake Therapist, you will complete comprehensive intake assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, coordinate appropriate services, and help clients begin their mental health recovery journey. This role is ideal for clinicians with experience in adult behavioral health, mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.


Schedule: Full-Time | Days | Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
37.5 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Active Michigan LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLP license.
  • Minimum 1 year of post-Master's experience providing mental health treatment services to adults with severe mental illness (SMI).
  • Experience conducting behavioral health assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish therapeutic relationships with adult behavioral health clients.
  • Must be eligible to obtain QMHP/QIDDP credentials within 120 days of hire.
  • CAADC credential or active MCBAP Development Plan required within six weeks of hire.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Fully Licensed LMSW, LPC, or LLP.
  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health.
  • Experience with crisis assessment, motivational interviewing, and person-centered planning.
  • Knowledge of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
