Career Details:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Assessment Counselor who will be responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments for clients wishing to get into Recovery Choices treatment programs. Assessments must meet OMHAS, CARF and Medicaid standards. Must be detail-oriented and willing to work as an integral part of a client-centered team. Will be required to provide other treatment services as needed including individual and group counseling as needed. Will be the point of first contact between community referral partners, potential clients and family members. Will schedule and perform all necessary clinical assessments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience: 2 years of experience working with a population with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Experience with individuals who are survivors of human trafficking, trauma or criminal justice involved. 1-2 years of experience with assessment and coordination of care preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: CDCA at minimum. LSW or LPC preferred.
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Computer Skills: Skill in use of personal computer and related software (e.g., electronic records, Microsoft Word, Excel); use of office equipment (e.g., copier, fax, printer).
