What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Loyola RN, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Loyola RN, you need comprehensive clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a current RN license, often supported by a BSN degree. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, bedside monitoring tools, and hospital protocols is essential. Strong communication, teamwork, and empathy help RNs provide patient-centered care and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. These skills are crucial for ensuring high-quality, safe patient outcomes and maintaining Loyola's standards of excellence in healthcare.

What are some common challenges nurses face when working at Loyola and how can they be addressed?

Nurses at Loyola may encounter challenges such as managing a high patient load, adapting to rapidly changing patient conditions, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. To address these, Loyola provides robust orientation programs, ongoing professional development, and encourages open communication with supervisors and colleagues. Additionally, nurses have access to support resources and teamwork initiatives that help foster a positive and supportive work environment.

What are Loyola RNs?
