Nursing Program Description:

Loyola's innovative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)degree programwillwelcome itssecond cohortof studentsin Fall 2026. This programuniquely integratesanexceptional liberal arts foundation with a holistic nursing education rooted in the Jesuit tradition of care and social justice. Students begin nursing coursework in their first semesterandbegin their education in direct patient care in the second year.The programincludes a wide range of clinical rotations at our nursing education partner, Mercy Medical Center, a Magnet-recognized hospital known for nursing excellence. The BSN curriculum emphasizes competency-based education, interprofessional collaboration, simulation and skills mastery, and reflective practice.For more information about our BSN program, pleasevisit our website.

Salary Range:$79,500 to$85,500

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution.Candidateswhosehighest nursing degree is an MSN must also hold an earned doctoral degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland or current licensure in another state with the ability to obtain Maryland RN licensure;

  • Minimum of five years of professional nursing experience, including both clinical practice and academic teaching;

  • Demonstrated experience inclinical skillsand simulationinstruction;

  • Evidence ofteaching,curriculum development experience with knowledge of outcomes assessment and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes;

  • Familiarity with the AACN Essentials (2021), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Standards, and Maryland Board of Nursing regulations;

  • Ability to integrate simulation and skills development throughout the curriculum to foster clinical reasoning, safety, and interprofessional collaboration;

  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to work collaboratively across faculty and administrative teams;

  • Commitment to Loyola's Jesuit educational mission, including ethical practice, service, social justice, and holistic student development;

  • Proficiencywith simulation management systems (e.g., LaerdalSimCapture) or willingness to developexpertise;

  • Experience with or interest in CCNE accreditation, and other regulatory compliance processes;

  • Active participation in professional organizations and nursing education advocacy;

  • Ability to engage in teaching that promotes inclusion, belonging, and academic excellence in a diverse learning community

  • Willingness to learn andutilizeeducational and clinical management software, includingExamSoftandExxat, an all-in-oneclinical and experiential education management platform.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in prelicensure BSN programs.

  • Clinicalexpertiseand/or teaching experience in one or more specialty nursing practice areas, including Pediatrics, Maternal-Child Health, Community/Public Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Adult Health/Medical-Surgical Nursing, Gerontology, or other relevant specialty areas.

  • Experience with competency-based education, simulation, and clinical evaluation.

  • Experience with AACN Essentials (2026), CCNEStandards forAccreditationof Baccalaureateand Graduate Nursing Programs (2024)and nursing program assessment processes.

Final compensation offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, job-related experience, internal equity, and alignment with organizational budget.
