This medical center is a well-established community hospital featuring 209 beds and offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The facility is stroke certified, supports both assigned and unassigned patient care, and utilizes Athena and Cerner EMR systems with in-office support staff available.
Opportunity:
Physician - Otolaryngology
Job Details:
  • Locum Tenens assignment available 8/5 - 8/10; provider must work the full stretch of open dates - partial dates will not be considered
  • Provider must have 50 case logs within the past 24 months
  • Clinic/hospital schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Call coverage required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
  • Call response time required: 15-20 minutes
  • Average patients seen while on call: 0-3
  • Serves patients 18 years and older in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Rounding required for both assigned and unassigned patients
  • Admissions required
  • Charting via Athena/Cerner EMR systems
  • Board certification required; fellowship required
  • Active California state license required; IMLC/compact license not accepted
  • Credentialing timeframe: 120-180 days; temporary privileges granted
  • BLS certification required
  • Specialty skills include general otolaryngology (surgical and non-surgical), endoscopic procedures (septal, sinus, bronchoscopy, flexible, rigid, laryngoscopy), tracheotomy, thyroidectomy, extended parotidectomy, radical neck surgery, facial reconstruction, facial surgery (facial implants, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty), and complex/general head and neck procedures
