Travel ICU RN – Key West, FL

Lower Keys Medical Center Start Date: January 5, 2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks (ends April 6, 2026) Shift: 3 × 12-hour Nights (19:00 – 07:00) Pay Rate: $72/hr base | $80/hr OT, Call-Back, Holiday Weekly Gross (36 hrs): ~$2,592 + full tax-free stipends Position: 1 opening Live and work in the Florida Keys this winter/spring – turquoise water, daily sunsets, and no state income tax. Lower Keys Medical Center is the only full-service acute care hospital in the Keys and needs a strong night-shift ICU nurse to join the team.

Unit & Role Highlights
  • Small, high-acuity 10-bed ICU (medical/surgical/cardiac)
  • Common diagnoses: sepsis, respiratory failure, post-op, cardiac events, stroke
  • Float to ED or Med-Surg as needed
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Scrubs: any color
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years recent adult ICU experience
  • Active Florida or Compact RN license at submission
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (all AHA)
  • Current AHCA clearinghouse background packet (mandatory for all Florida contracts)
  • Housing must be secured within 50 miles of facility and address provided before offer is extended
Scheduling
  • Every-other-weekend required
  • Holiday coverage expected (MLK, Presidents' Day)
  • No on-call
