TITLE: Intermediate School Teacher - Science
JOB GOAL:
To deliver high-quality science instruction that builds students' understanding of scientific concepts, inquiry skills, and ability to apply scientific reasoning to real-world situations.
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED):
  • Valid Indiana teaching license appropriate for grade level/content area
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards for Mathematics and best instructional practices
  • Ability to use student data to inform instruction
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of all learners

REPORTS TO:
Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and deliver science instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards and district curriculum
  • Develop students' skills in scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and critical thinking
