Our projects include commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, universities, and municipal infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, and industrial facilities, delivering electrical systems ranging from medium-voltage distribution to low-voltage controls.
Position Overview
Dade Electric Service is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects throughout South Florida. This role works closely with project managers, foremen, and field crews to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate low-voltage cabling systems
  • Install and service fire alarm, security, access control, and communication systems 
  • Install structured cabling and network infrastructure
  • Test and troubleshoot low-voltage systems
  • Read and interpret system diagrams and installation drawings
  • Coordinate with project managers and other trades
  • Ensure installations meet code requirements and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of low-voltage installation experience
  • Experience with fire alarm, security, access control, or data systems
  • Ability to read system diagrams and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with low-voltage codes and installation standards
  • Experience with commercial or institutional projects
  • Manufacturer certifications (fire alarm, security, networking) are a plus
  • OSHA certification preferred
  •  Data Technician, Systems Integrator, Structured Cabling Installer, and AV Specialist.
