Position Summary: Staff Development Nurse ( LPN )

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff DevelopmentNurse (LPN) to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you’ll help elevate care by empowering our nursing staff with the skills, training, and confidence they need to provide the highest level of care to our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, develop, and implement ongoing educational programs for nursing and support staff
  2. Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding
  3. Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training
  4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility standards
  5. Support infection control and quality assurance programs
  6. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Alabama.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Must have experience working in a Long-Term Care and/or Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Previous leadership, management, Staff Development, or supervisory experience in a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing setting is required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Clerical ability necessary to accurately review reports, maintain records, and utilize data for regulatory and operational purposes.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and facilitate orientation, education, and staff development programs.
  • Ability to effectively plan, direct, and coordinate departmental activities while collaborating with other departments.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care is preferred.
