The State of New Hampshire, Lottery and Gaming Commission, Sales Division has a Full-Time vacancy for Lottery Sales Representative (LSR)
SUMMARY:
Acts as a representative of the State of New Hampshire Lottery and Gaming Commission (NHLGC) for lottery product sales, marketing and promotional activities within an assigned geographic region of the state; performs related work as required to continually increase sales volume and expand market share.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS:
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in sales, marketing, business administration, or related field.
License/Certification:
- Valid New Hampshire Driver's License and/or have access to transportation.
- Possession of a valid New Hampshire driver's license. State of New Hampshire defensive driving certificate required.
Trainee Option: Not applicable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Will need to acquire a State of New Hampshire Defensive Driving Certificate within one month of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DETAILED TASKS:
- Partners with retailers across the Coos County and small part Northern Grafton and Carroll Counties
- Maintains lottery sales and service relationships with NH retail establishments. Conducts sales analysis and business practice review related to applicable existing and potential lottery product.
- Customizes recommendations for product type, point-of-sale marketing, and inventory management to optimize the integration and sale of lottery product within their individual retail environment.
- Conducts routine site-visits at NH retail establishments as assigned. Sets up lottery accounts, closes down lottery accounts, handles changes-of-ownership, and performs basic troubleshooting for lottery equipment.
- Provides applicable lottery product, product displays, point-of-sale materials, and promotional items. Provides innovative ideas for product display, and options for sales promotions as feasible.
- Reviews and evaluates sales reports for all lottery products. Compares overall sales data with regional and local sales data in order to advise and partner with individual retailer management to develop a business strategy to improve lottery activity and sales within their market area.
- Partners with other Lottery staff and third-party vendors to educate, train, coach and support NH retailers in all aspects of lottery laws, rules, policy, and procedures.
- Conducts periodic risk assessment and inventory verification at retailer establishments to minimize loss of revenue. Procedures are reviewed for compliance. Financial records are reviewed and audited as applicable. Refers to the Lottery Audit Unit for a full audit when warranted.
- Assists in recruiting prospective lottery retailers. Conducts presentations demonstrating the benefits of products and services offered through NHLGC. Assists in the licensing process as needed.
- Conducts sites surveys for equipment placement and compliance with requirements stated in the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
