Pay: $16–$19/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

Multiple full time and part time shifts available, Monday through Saturdays

Type: Hourly | On-site | Inventory / Lot Operations

About Maplewood Toyota

Maplewood Toyota is a high-volume, fast-moving dealership environment where teamwork and consistency matter. Our lot team plays a huge role in keeping vehicles organized, presentable, and ready for sales, service, and deliveries. If you like staying active, working around vehicles, and being part of a crew that keeps the operation running smoothly—this is a great fit.

The Role

As a Lot Technician, you’ll support the daily flow of vehicles across the campus—helping keep inventory organized, vehicles staged correctly, and keys/units where they need to be. Some experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person who is dependable, coachable, and takes pride in doing things right.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Move and stage vehicles for sales, recon, service, deliveries, and customer appointments
  • Maintain clean and organized parking areas, drive lanes, and staging zones
  • Perform basic vehicle readiness tasks: quick wipe-downs, remove stickers, check fuel levels, install plates/tags as directed
  • Check vehicles in/out and help ensure accurate location tracking (where units are parked/staged)
  • Coordinate with sales/recon/service teams to prioritize vehicle movement
  • Jump-start vehicles, check tire pressure, and assist with basic lot support tasks as needed
  • Keep keys organized and follow key control procedures
  • Support snow/ice management around vehicles and walkways during winter months (as needed)
  • Follow all safety procedures while driving and parking vehicles

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving habits
  • Comfortable driving and parking a variety of vehicles (including tight spaces)
  • Strong attendance and reliability (this role depends on consistency)
  • Able to work outdoors in all Minnesota seasons and stay active throughout the shift

Preferred (but not required)

  • Dealership, rental, valet, or inventory/lot experience
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle operations (jump packs, tire pressure, fuel checks, etc.)
  • Ability to stay calm and productive in a busy environment

Why Work Here

  • Steady hours with a consistent schedule
  • Opportunities to grow into recon, detail, service support, or other dealership roles
  • Team environment where you’re trusted to get things done

Benefits available for eligible employees (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, employee discounts—varies by position/eligibility)
