Job description

As a Lot Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our dealership lot and buildings. You will also help the Service Department by test driving vehicles, operating the shuttle for customers, cleaning the shop and generally assisting wherever needed on the property. The open shift has Tuesday and Wednesday off. Working hours on Sunday are 10:00am to 6:00pm then 11:00am to 8:00pm on Monday, Thursday-Saturday. Please do not apply if you are unable to work those times.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange vehicles on the lot in an orderly and visually appealing manner.
  • Ensure that vehicles are properly aligned and parked according to dealership guidelines.
  • Rotate vehicles to showcase various models and maximize exposure.
  • Keep the lot clean and free of debris, including snow, leaves, and litter.
  • Perform regular inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues, such as flat tires or fluid leaks, and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer parking areas and walkways.
  • Assist with the movement of vehicles between the lot and service department.
  • Ensure that vehicles are fueled and ready for test drives as needed.
  • Install and remove vehicle accessories or promotional materials as directed.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate personnel or department as needed.
  • Assist customers with locating specific vehicles on the lot.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to verify the accuracy of vehicle records.
  • Assist with the tagging and labeling of vehicles to ensure proper identification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
