Job description

Job Description
Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and
co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Requires a high level of public contact and excellent interpersonal skills.
Interviews patients or responsible party to obtain personal, demographic, insurance, and medical information
prior to services. Confirms and manages patient identity. Understands compliance requirements and assists
with completion of required forms.
Correctly assigns insurance coverages based on eligibility responses. Explains plan benefits, authorization
status, and medical necessity.
Creates a transparent financial experience including generation of an estimate preservice, explains patient
liability, and collects prepayments and on outstanding balances. Offers information on payment plans and
Compassionate Care when appropriate.
Correctly transcribes and validates orders, as well as schedules walk-in appointments.
Advocates for patient engagement, including activation of MyChart.
Monitors environment and attends to patients, families and visitor's needs in an effort to create a positive,
expeditious registration experience.
Assists with wayfinding and connecting patient to care.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Training:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Comfortable with computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Medical terminology/prior experience with healthcare
High school diploma/GED preferred from an accredited school
