We are seeking an RN Supervisor who is committed to ensuring high-quality care, supporting staff, and maintaining standards across the facility. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff on your shift - ensuring care delivery meets facility standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform or oversee resident assessments, monitor health status, and respond to changes in condition; coordinate with physicians and care team as needed.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance - including resident records, care plans, incident reports, regulatory compliance paperwork, and shift handoffs.
  • Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned; coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary (medications, treatments, IVs, specimen collection, etc.), especially during staffing shortages or emergencies.
  • Mentor and support assigned staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), provide guidance, and act as point of contact for staff and resident/family issues.
  • Ensure unit compliance with facility policies, state/federal regulations, safety and infection-control standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
  • Minimum experience working as an RN in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; supervisory or charge-nurse experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess resident needs, coordinate care, respond to changes in condition, and make sound clinical judgments.
  • Dependable, with good attendance and ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.
