Outdoor Equipment Co. (OECo)
Location: Ray, Michigan (Metro Detroit Area)
Full Time | Set Shift (40 Hrs) | Seasonal Saturdays as Needed


Help Keep Our Customers Running

Outdoor Equipment Co. is seeking a Full-Time Parts Consultant to support our Ray location. This position plays a key role in assisting customers and our service team by identifying, ordering, and organizing parts that keep equipment in the field and working.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and customer interaction - whether you have industry experience or a mechanical background looking for a consistent full-time schedule.


What You'll Do
  • Assist walk-in and phone customers with parts lookup and ordering

  • Use manufacturer diagrams and systems to identify correct parts

  • Support the Service Department by sourcing parts for repair orders

  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory shipments

  • Track backorders and communicate updates

  • Help maintain accurate inventory and participate in cycle counts

  • Keep the parts area clean, organized, and efficient

  • Build relationships with commercial and residential customers


What We're Looking For
  • Strong customer service attitude and willingness to learn

  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment, automotive, or tools preferred

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

  • Comfortable using computers and lookup systems

  • Ability to multitask during busy spring/summer seasons

  • Team-oriented mindset - works well with sales and service staff

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and remain active throughout shift


Schedule
  • Full-time hours (40 hours per week)

  • Flexible weekday scheduling (we will work around the right candidate)

  • Additional hours available during peak season (spring/summer)

  • Occasional Saturday rotation based on business needs
