Job description

Job Summary

At NetApp, our Product Marketing (PMM) organization drives the go-to-market strategy and positioning for our world-class data storage and cloud solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Business Data Analyst to join our team as a key individual contributor.

In this role, you will be the foundational architect of our measurement infrastructure. You will be responsible for building, standardizing, and scaling measurement frameworks and reporting dashboards that support our entire product portfolio. By weaving together disparate data streams, you will empower our team with reliable and automated access to performance data so Product Marketing Managers have actionable, data-driven insights that inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and drive product growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Reporting Infrastructure: Establish the technical "source of truth" for Product Marketing performance. Build, automate, and maintain scalable, standardized reporting models and dashboards that track the end-to-end lifecycle of our product portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Data Integration: Synthesize complex data from three primary organizational pillars to create a holistic view of product and market performance:
  • Sales & Marketing Data: Integrate web analytics, digital campaign performance, and Salesforce (CRM) pipeline metrics to understand top-of-funnel engagement, lead velocity, and marketing ROI.
  • Finance & ERP Data: Connect marketing efforts to actual bookings, contract data, and revenue metrics housed within our ERP systems.
  • Product Telemetry & Usage Data: Incorporate product adoption, utilization, and telemetry data to understand how customers are actively engaging with our solutions post-sale.
  • Implement KPI Tracking: Partner with the Marketing Analytics Manager to technically implement and automate the tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within BI dashboards.
  • Process Optimization and Governance: Identify gaps in current data collection and reporting processes. Work cross-functionally with IT, RevOps, and Data Engineering teams to improve data hygiene, pipeline automation, and accessibility for the PMM org. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting.
Job Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Marketing Analytics, Revenue Operations, or a similar analytical role (preferably within the B2B Tech/Enterprise Software space).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Deep expertise with BI and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Domain Knowledge:
  • Hands-on experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce), Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo, Eloqua), and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Familiarity with ERP data structures and financial contract reporting.
  • Experience analyzing product telemetry and user-behavior data.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to understand the broader go-to-market strategy and translate high-level business questions into technical data requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience in addition to a Bachelor's in a technical field of engineering, data sciences or business.

Equivalent combination of additional experience can be considered in place of degree listed.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $145,000-155,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
