Job Description

LBF is adding to our Operations Team, we are looking to add a Retail Processing Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the day-to-day supervision of Processors and Junior Processors. Provide service and quality processing of loan files in accordance with FHA, State, and Investor regulations, assuring the marketable quality of each loan. The Processing Manager will report to the Director of Retail Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coach a team consisting of 15-20 Processors, Supervisors, and Team Leads
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of LBF's programs, policies, procedures, and terminology applicable to FHA Loans
  • Ensure compliance with LBF's policies and secondary market requirements pertaining to credit standards and regulation for FHA and Proprietary loans
  • Train, assist, coach, supervise, and support departmental team members
  • Act as a liaison between the Underwriting Department, Sales, and other Longbridge Financial Mortgage departments
  • Collaborate with Loan Officers, Account Executives, Partners, Borrowers, Underwriters, Closers, AMCs, and title companies
  • Monitor the pipeline daily to ensure files move efficiently
  • Develop strategies to improve processes and enhance workflow
  • Review and assist processors with conditions as needed
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions and feedback to Leadership
  • Provide positive and motivating support to the team
  • Attend and host daily and weekly meetings
  • Coordinate with Supervisors and Team Leads on training needs
  • Oversee hiring and terminations
  • Communicate and interact with other department managers, as well as the recruiting department, to ensure staffing needs align with capacity plans and profit/loss expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and demonstrate professional behavior with colleagues and management
Qualifications
  • Reverse mortgage retail processing experience required
  • Strong knowledge of all State and Federal regulations including but not limited to RESPA/TILA, Reg B, etc.
  • Prior experience with interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • 5-10 years Management experience highly preferred
  • May require long hours/overtime at certain times of the month
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • A "Can Do" attitude with high energy and self-motivation
  • Travel required multiple times a year
