Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Chaplain Associate, you will be a beacon of compassionate spiritual care, profoundly impacting patient recovery and well-being during critical times.
Every day, you will facilitate connections, offer comfort, and provide essential chaplaincy services to nurture the holistic healing journey for patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will possess deep empathy, exceptional interpersonal skills, a profound commitment to spiritual care, and the organizational ability to seamlessly coordinate compassionate support within a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Provides spiritual and emotional care to patients, their families as well as hospital staff. Provides pastoral care and counseling consistent with the plan of treatment developed for each patient.
  • Provides for and participates in hospital dedication/blessing ceremonies as well as provide religious ritual/services for patients, families, staff and volunteers as requested and appropriate.
  • Assumes responsibility for on call support for evening and over night during weekdays and weekends.
  • Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings as possible.
  • While working in house, he/she will respond to all CODES, STEMI's and other emergency situations related to and appropriate for their position as a chaplain and provide support as needed or requested. While on call, he/she will respond to crises as requested.
